Do you have catchlights in your professional headshot?
Catchlights are the lights in your eyes. Why are they necessary? I think that catchlights make portraits come to life! I’m always careful to make sure my subjects have a little light in their eyes when I create their portraits. We are accustom to seeing sunlight and reflections in peoples eyes when we are outdoors, adding catchlights simply makes portraits look more natural.
As one of the areas leading Portrait Photographers I think it’s critical not only to have a professional headshot that is exposed correctly with the eyes in tack sharp focus but to also make sure that those critical, natural catchlights are there.
